If you think you might need help with your speech, why not try the Speech and Language Therapy group?

Run by the Buckinghamshire Healthcare Speech and Language Therapy team, the Parkinson’s group meets on the last Wednesday of most months at Princes Risborough Community Centre. You can just drop in and try it – you don’t have to make an appointment.

Speech therapy 2015 programme

If you would like to work on your speech volume and quality, do come to this new group. You will work together with others in the group and in partnership with the Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) Team from Amersham Hospital. Meetings are held at the Princes Risborough Community Centre.

Anyone with Parkinson’s and their partner / carer can come.  As with our other activities, you don’t have to be a member of Parkinson’s UK. There is no cost, although voluntary donations for tea/coffee would be appreciated.

Speech therapy group trial

Debbie Begent, Speech and Language Therapy Service Manager, Amersham Hospital, is leading a new Parkinson’s group trial to widen availability in our area.

Anyone with a Parkinson’s diagnosis can join in the meetings which are held in Princes Risborough Community Centre. You are welcome to come with a carer or there are local shops and cafes if your carer needs a chance to run a couple of errands.
