Great news! Local parliamentary election candidates Ben Davies (Labour), Cheryl Gillan (Conservative) and Dr Kirsten Johnson (Liberal Democrat) have kindly agreed to visit us at our branch meeting on 28 April for a question and answer session.
This is an opportunity, ahead of May’s general election, to hear answers to those questions you’ve always wanted to ask of our politicians.
So – if you have any questions you would like to ask, please send them as soon as possible – and by Monday 20th April at the latest. Just contact us here to send them.
We ask that your questions are Parkinson’s related matters which often don’t get addressed in the run-up to an election. Suggested areas might be the NHS, welfare, care and social services, medical research and so on.
Your committee will then group together similar questions and put them to our local candidates on the day.
With the election only 8 days later, our next branch meeting promises to be very topical and we’re expecting a large attendance. See you there!
Footnote: Sue Mills, of Parkinson’s’ UK, who was scheduled to talk to us on the 28th about daily living aids has agreed come at a later date to be arranged.
