Would you like to volunteer to help us organise and run our Hospital Presence?
Twice a month – once at Amersham Hospital and once at High Wycombe Hospital – our volunteers run a stand when our neurologist, Dr Jackson holds his Parkinson’s clinics. It’s is one of the ways we support people affected by Parkinson’s, by giving them an opportunity to have a friendly chat, take information leaflets and explain how Parkinson’s UK and our branch can support them.
We need someone to organise a rota of fellow volunteers, work with clinic staff to provide a welcoming experience for patients, supporting them and showing understanding, as well as speaking about the work of Parkinson’s UK and our branch.
Anyone with the right skills and aptitude can apply – you don’t need to know about Parkinson’s as long as you’re interested and willing to learn. Read the full details of the role and how to apply here. [NB link will go live when ad is posted on national website]
