In memorium donations
Many people choose to ask for donations to be made to Parkinson’s UK instead of funeral flowers. Funeral directors are usually happy to arrange this at your request.
Memorial donations by cheque should be made payable to “Parkinson’s UK AHW” and sent to our Treasurer (contact details below).
Please do let us know the name of the person you are remembering, and if there is anyone we should keep updated with the total we’ve received.
Such donations make a significant contribution to the support services we provide for people with Parkinson’s and their families.
By leaving a gift to the Branch in your Will (a legacy) you will be making a significant future contribution to the lives of those people affected by Parkinson’s. Such a gift also reduces any inheritance tax that is payable. If you already have a Will, and would like to add a gift to Parkinson’s UK, you can do so using a simple form called a codicil. If you need any advice on this subject, please contact our Treasurer (details below).
We started our respite care scheme, and sustained it, with two significant legacies left to our branch in recent years and they have made a huge difference to family carers in our area.
