There were reindeer, cushions, bags, wreaths, angels, Christmas cards and decorations amongst the myriad items for sale at a Craft Fayre at Penn Street Village Hall on 17 November 2017.
Over the last few months, Terry Stevenson and her trusty elves, Rosemary Wilkinson, Jackie Connors, Chris Wells, Sandy Hale, Sue Wilkie, Gloria Balkewill and Cathi Grainger had been busy creating all the hand-made items. They raised a staggering £1,477 which will be donated to research into new therapies and a cure for Parkinson’s.
Visitors were treated to as much coffee or tea as they could drink along with seasonal nibbles. A merry time was had by all as visitors did their Christmas shopping in a relaxed environment overlooking a bright autumnal valley scene beyond the hall’s rear windows.
Our grateful thanks to all those involved and well done for raising such a large sum of money for Parkinson’s UK.
