Pilgrimage donations top £10,000

With a fundraising target of £250,000, there is a long way to go for Peter’s Parkinson’s Pilgrimage. But donations have already passed £10,000.

“People have been very generous and I hope they will continue to support the pilgrimage” said Peter (the Pilgrim) Charles.

His wife, Wendy, recently donated her profit of £75 when she had a table for her jewellery at a recent Christmas fayre. Every little helps – and here’s a picture of her table on that day.

Slightly further afield was the collection on New Year’s Eve at the Red Lion, Great Kingshill. Chris and Kim, the hosts, decided to put a flyer about the pilgrimage on every table of their fully booked event. They generated £115 for the pilgrimage.

“Chris and Kim have always run a good pub with excellent food” said Peter “and it’s nice to know that my local pub is giving such good support”.
