River Thames boat trip 25 July 2017

By Dorothy Salathiel

Join us for a River Thames boat trip, with lunch, on Tuesday 25 July 2017, 10.30am – 1.30pm

Boarding at Runnymede will start at 10.30am and the boat will depart promptly at 11am.  We will cruise up river towards Windsor, through the grounds of Windsor Castle to Romney Lock, and will arrive back at Runnymede at 1.30pm. The skipper will provide an informative commentary during the trip.

Everyone affected by Parkinson’s is welcome, including family members, friends and carers.

You don’t have to be a member of our branch to come. However, if over-subscribed, members and one partner/friend/carer will have booking priority.

A ploughman’s lunch (cheese, ham, coleslaw, salad, cake, tea/coffee) is included in the price.  Vegetarian and special dietary alternatives are available. There will be a cash bar on the boat.

There is level access to the boat and the organisers will lift people in wheelchairs onto the boat, but not electric wheelchairs or scooters. There are toilets on the boat, but they are not wheelchair friendly.  Disabled toilets are in the nearby National Trust Tea Room lodge.

We ask branch members and their partner / friend / carer to pay a non-refundable contribution of £13 per person towards the cost. The cost for non-members will be £23 per person, also non-refundable.

 Map and parking

You will need to make your own way there. Parking belongs to the National Trust and is currently free to boat passengers if you display a parking voucher which we can provide or you can use your NT parking permit if you have one.

If you would more information or to join us, call Dorothy Salathiel on 0300 030 4667 or contact us by 10 July at the latest.
