Would you like to help the Amersham and High Wycombe branch of Parkinson’s UK organise some of its social and fundraising events? Anyone can apply for this role – you don’t have to have a connection with Parkinson’s.
As an event organiser, you could help our branch to put on a range of events:
- Social events for members such as our annual barbecue, Christmas lunch and outings
- Fundraising events such as quiz nights, dances, concerts and other ideas of your own
- Awareness-raising events, for example during Parkinson’s Awareness Week
You could lead or support the process from researching the options, planning, writing the proposal for committee agreement, running the actual event itself and evaluating it afterwards.
The role is hands-on and will involve working as part of a team of 2 or 3 others. It’s an opportunity to meet new people and do something for your local community and will take an average of 2 or 3 hours a week.
