What is Mah Jong?

Mah Jong is a game of skill, strategy and calculation and involves a degree of chance.  The game is played by 4 people with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols, consisting of 3 suits and various honour tiles.  A little bit like the card game rummy, the aim is to build sets of similar tiles and runs.

Everyone affected by Parkinson’s, including partners and carers, is welcome to join our group … you don’t have to be members of Parkinson’s UK.

New players welcome:  many of our group are new to the game and are learning the basics.

If you have played before we can match you with others of a similar ability.
